How to Accept Cryptocurrency Payments with Shopify

Set up your Shopify integration and start offering payments in crypto!

Overview of integration:

1. Setup Shopify Integration
2. Configure EukaPay for Integration
3. Finalize Shopify Integration & Add Crypto Payment Method
4. Congratulations! You integrated crypto payments to your Shopify Shop.

Setup Shopify Integration

Step 1: Get access to your Shopify Dashboard and make sure you are on the correct Shop.

Step 2: Proceed to open the Settings from the bottom right.

Step 3: Under Settings, proceed by opening Apps and Sales Channels

Step 4: Under Apps and Sales Channels, you will find Develop apps to the right, please click on that to open App development.

Step 5: Under App development, find Create an app option to open a modal form.

In the modal form, enter an App name and click on the Create app to proceed. It should open the newly created App.

Step 6: The newly created app settings page will be shown to you, from which you can find API Credentials tab. Under this tab, please find Configure Admin API scopes and click it.

Step 7: Under the Configuration > Admin API Integration all the scopes will be listed but two scopes are required for this integration. Please find Orders scope level as shown in the image and check the write_orders and read_orders scopes and save the configuration.

Step 8: From the top-right corner, use the Install app button and confirm Install from the popup to install the app.

Step 9: Once the is installed, you will see the status Installed with the app's name. Please find the access token under Admin API access token. Please note, you can only Reveal token once, please copy and safely save it. 

This will be required on the EukaPay Configuration.

 

Configure Integration on EukaPay Dashboard

Step 1: Log in your EukaPay Merchant Dashboard and navigate to Settings from the top right drop-down menu.

Step 2: Under Settings, open the Integrations tab and find the Shopify Integration option on the left.

Step 3: Make sure you have API Access Token and the Domain name of your Shopify account.

You can find the domain name under the Settings of your Shopify Dashboard. 

Step 4: Now paste the API Access Token and the Domain in the respective form fields and proceed by clicking on the Save and Create Script. 

A script code will be generated. Please copy this code to be used on the Shopify Settings in the next steps.

Finish Shopify Integration & Add Crypto Payment Method 

Step 1: Once you have the script code from EukaPay Settings, open the Shopify Dashboard and navigate to Settings to find the Customer Events tab from the side navigation.

Step 2: Under Customer events, please click on the Add custom pixel

Step 3: Name the Pixel and click on Add Pixel

Step 4: Once the pixel is created, you can see Code section with a placeholder code. Please paste in the code that you have copied from EukaPay Shopify Integration Settings.

Step 5: Under Permission section, please select Not required. Under Data sale section, please select the Data collected does not qualify as data sale.

Once Step 4 & 5 are completed, you will have to save the changes by clicking on the Save button at the top as shown in the image.

Step 6: After saving, you can see the Connect button will be enabled. Please click on Connect and confirm.

Step 7: Awesome! Now your pixel is connected. The status of the pixel will be Connected under the Customer events.

Now, let's add crypto payment method from EukaPay as one of the payment methods under your shop. 

Step 8: From your Shopify Dashboard and under Settings, please find the Payments option from the side navigation.

Step 9: Under Payments options, please find Manual payment methods section. Click on the plus option with Manual payment method which will open a popup list of option.

Step 10: From the popup list, please click on the Create custom payment method which will open a form.

Step 11: Please fill the form carefully, this will be customer-facing text. 
For Custom payment method name: Please make sure it must have "EukaPay" in the field.
For example: "Pay crypto with EukaPay".

For Additional details: You may use the following text.
"To complete the payment, you will receive an invoice email from EukaPay. Follow the instructions on your email to make the payment. EukaPay collect only your email address to send payment information."

For Payment instructions: You may use the following text.

"Please check your email inbox to complete the payment"

Once, the form is filled, please click on the Activate button.

Once the payment method is added, it will appear under Manual payment methods.

Congratulations! You have integrated crypto payments to your Shopify shop.
