How to Request a Real-Time Quote

This guide walks you through selecting your trade direction, choosing an asset pair, entering your amount, and submitting your request.

💡 Tip: Use this feature to preview costs and plan your trades without locking in a transaction.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Select Buy or Sell

At the top of the “Request For Quote” panel, choose whether you want to:

  • Buy — Purchase cryptocurrency using fiat (e.g., CAD)
  • Sell — Exchange cryptocurrency for fiat

✅ The system will auto-adjust available balance and quote calculation based on your selection.

2. Choose Your Asset Pair

Use the dropdown menu to select the trading pair (e.g., BTC - CAD, ETH - CAD).

📌 Note: Only whitelisted assets are available for trading. If you see an error about missing whitelisted addresses (see below), you’ll need to set one up first.

3. Enter the Amount

Type in the quantity you wish to trade in the input field.

You can also:

  • Click “Max” to automatically fill the field with the maximum amount you can trade based on your available balance.
  • Toggle between asset units (e.g., BTC / CAD) using the buttons beside the input field.

⚠️ Example: Entering “0.2” under BTC means you’re requesting a quote to buy or sell 0.2 Bitcoin.

4. Click “Request Quote”

Once you’ve selected your parameters, click the “Request Quote” button.

The system will immediately generate a real-time quote based on current market conditions.

What Happens After You Request a Quote?

You’ll see a confirmation modal with:

  • Trade Pair (e.g., BTC-CAD)
  • Direction (Buy/Sell)
  • Amount
  • Price per Asset
  • Total Price

And most importantly — an 8-second countdown timer.

Your quote is valid only while the timer is running. Once it hits 0:00, the quote expires.

✅ Accepting Your Quote

If you’re satisfied with the terms, click the blue button (e.g., “Buy 0.0003 BTC”) within the 8-second window.

✔️ Success! You’ll see a green notification:

Quote Accepted
Buy 150.00 CAD at 152,374.37 CAD/BTC for 0.000975 BTC

This means your order has been successfully executed at the quoted price.

Where to See Your Completed Trade

After accepting a quote, your trade appears instantly in your Recent Orders table or under the History Tab.

If Your Quote Expires…

You’ll see a notification like this:

Quote Expired
Buy 0.0003 BTC at 153,714.5455 CAD/BTC for 46.114364 CAD

To proceed, simply return to the RFQ form, adjust your amount if needed, and click “Request Quote” again.

Expired quotes cannot be executed. You must request a new one.

Common Errors & Fixes

❌ “Missing requirement for trading. No whitelisted address for ETH found. Click here to create one.”

This appears when you try to trade an asset (like ETH) that requires a whitelisted deposit address — but none has been set up yet.

✅ Solution:
Please refer to this guide to setup a whitelisted wallet address: https://support.eukapay.com/setup-stablecoin-withdrawals

🔐 Whitelisting ensures secure transfers and complies with regulatory requirements.

Pro Tips

  • Always double-check the direction (Buy/Sell) before confirming — prices differ depending on which side of the trade you’re on.
  • Use the “Max” button to avoid manual entry errors and ensure you’re not exceeding your available balance.
  • If you’re unsure about timing, request a quote just before you’re ready to execute — don’t wait too long!
